About

Mykoll Finikin-Roumain is a native of Westmoreland, Jamaica. She began her distinguished legal journey at the University of the West Indies, Mona, where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with first class honors. During her time in Jamaica, she demonstrated early leadership as the President of the Elsa Leo-Rhynie Hall’s Honor Society, Vice President of the OneLife Initiative and as a Deputy Head Girl at Manning’s School.

In 2018, Mykoll moved to the United States to further her legal expertise at the Florida State University College of Law. She achieved remarkable academic success, earning a Master of Laws (LLM), Summa Cum Laude, followed by her Juris Doctorate (JD) in 2021. Her time at FSU was marked by significant involvement, including serving as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and a member of the FSU Law ABA Negotiation Team.

Mykoll currently serves as an Associate at Luks, Santaniello, Petrillo, Cohen and Peterfriend. In this role, she represents insurance companies and their insureds in complex litigation matters, specifically focusing on premises and general liability cases. Prior to transitioning into insurance defense, she practiced family law.

Beyond the courtroom, Mykoll is deeply committed to fostering the next generation of legal professionals. Since 2022, she has served as a Learning and Writing Strategist for Agape Christian Bar Prep, where she tutors and coaches students through the rigorous bar exam preparation period. Her dedication to service is further reflected in her active roles within the legal and local community.
