Anisha C. Atchanah is a partner at Kim Vaughan Lerner LLP. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis on Business/Corporate litigation, premises liability matters, products liability and insurance defense. She has worked on matters involving complex commercial contract disputes, shareholder litigation, business torts, and first party and third party property insurance disputes. Anisha is of Trinidadian and Mauritian descent, and immigrated to South Florida from England. Prior to joining Kim Vaughan Lerner LLP, Anisha obtained extensive experience in the areas of foreclosure and condominium/homeowners’ association litigation. Anisha earned her BA in English and Criminology from the University of Florida and MS in Criminal Justice Policy and Corrections from Florida Atlantic University. Anisha earned her Juris Doctor from the FIU College of Law in 2011, where she served as the Student Bar Association Treasurer and was the recipient of the Outstanding Local Government Law
Student Award from the City, County and Local Government Section of The Florida Bar. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Mentorship Committee of the BCBA, as Council Member on the Broward County Board of County Commissioners’ Police and Criminal Justice Review Board and a participant of 2023-2025 Diverse Leaders Academy of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section. Anisha has received many recognitions by her peers including, 40 Under 40, Honoree, Broward County Bar Association, 2021, Florida Rising Star, SUPER LAWYERS, 2021, and Honorary Hispanic Award, Hispanic Bar Association, 2022.
