 Marlon A. Hill is a founding partner with the law firm of delancyhill, P.A., Miami, Florida. Mr. Hill focuses his practice on general corporate, entertainment/intellectual property, and international business and trade transactions. His areas of experience also include real estate, business immigration, and governmental matters. Mr. Hill has extensive experience in counseling start-ups, entrepreneurs, and emerging companies on corporate structuring, financing, and strategic planning.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Mr. Hill is a graduate of the Florida State University College of Business (B.Sc., cum laude, Multinational Business and Finance, 1992), University of West Indies, Faculty of Law, Barbados, Summer Program, 1993, and the Florida State University College of Law (J.D. with Honors, 1995). Formerly with the law firm of Adorno & Yoss in Miami, Mr. Hill was recently featured in the Daily Business Review's "Leaders 2000 - Faces to Watch" issue, the Miami Herald’s Black History Profiles 2002, the South Florida Legal Guide’s Up & Comer Attorneys 2002, and Street Miami’s Street Elite 2002, as one of the "outstanding members of the emerging generation of South Florida business and professional leaders."
Mr. Hill is one of the Inaugural Fellows in the Dade Community Foundation’s Miami Fellows Initiative; a model of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation National Leadership Program. Professionally, Mr. Hill is a past president of the Caribbean Bar Association and a member of the Florida Bar (Entertainment, Arts & Sports and Business Law Sections) and Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association. He is currently a member of the board of directors for the Miami Parking Authority, Miami Light Project, and the Orange Bowl Committee. Mr. Hill was a founding member of the Florida Caribbean Students' Association, and currently serves as the organization's advisor.
Mr. Hill is a past recipient of the United Way Essie Silva Community Builder Award and the National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Young Leader Award. Mr. Hill is proficient in Spanish.
